The 2012 Miami/So. Florida Restaurants Survey results are in! Our latest survey in the sun-drenched city covered 1,351 restaurants that were rated by 6,671 local restaurant-goers. With winter approaching around the country, perhaps it's time to visit perpetually warm South Florida to check out the restaurant scene? Sounds like a good idea to us! Things are looking up for the area's restaurateurs: our surveyors reported dining out an average of 3.4 times each week this year, as compared to 3.2 in the last survey (though, that's still down from 3.7 pre-recession). Meanwhile, 38% of survey respondents say that the dining scene is better than last year, and that's even with a 1.1% increase in the average cost per meal (it's up to $40.40 versus $39.86 last year).
