Google Reader Backlash: 10,000 Users Sign Petition to Save Old Version

Source: youreachmedia.posterous.com --- Tuesday, November 01, 2011
via mashable.com Go ahead and check out the new digs! That's right, Google Reader got a makeover. Not just that, but its functionality has shifted into Google + rather than sharing WITHIN Reader. Maybe its just me, but as soon as Google + was introduced is when I began to see more value in Reader.  I was wondering what took them so long to integrate.  I think that the ability to share articles you're reading in by using the +1 function (growing rapidly in popularity) makes a LOT more sense than the small community surrounding Google Reader thats fighting the change. Definitely check out this article from Mashable, there are some interesting data regarding the Top Google Reader User Countries (Iran) and for many of us, its a reminder to go get logged back in and caught up with some news. Despite what some of the angry reactions were to the change, I look forward to getting more functionality and productivity out of both Reader and Google +, and as we tell all YouReach clients- the only constant with Technology is change. Don't get mad, don't Victimize yourself, and do continue to learn! I say screw the petition, and THANKS Google! Permalink | Leave a comment  » ...
