I've been using Google Voice as my primary means of communication for some time now. I've never really had an issues with the service until today. While speaking with another Google Voice user, we both started to receive copies of our text message via email. At first, I dismissed it as him sending message through email, but half way through our conversation he stop to ask me "Why are you texting my e-mail address?". We fought and joked over this a bit only to find that both our settings were set up so that neither of should have been receiving emails. So just what's going on? After looking through some forums, we came to the conclusion that the problem is becoming widespread. There are a few post ( here , here , and here ) with users who are sharing the same issue, even though they have their email notifications turned off for Google Voice. The only solution right now is to create a filter to discard any forwarded text message that matches @txt.voice.Google.com until a more permanent solution is made by Google. Is Google Voice giving you issues? Are you experiencing Google Voice Duplicates?
